Associated Builders & Contractors of CT (CT ABC) is one of 78 Chapters of the national Associated Builders & Contractors. We are a membership organization comprised of Merit Shop (non-union) construction industry firms.
CT ABC members work together to build a better future for our industry. We support the free enterprise system that has made this country strong.
Key Beliefs:
- All qualified, responsible contractors should be eligible to bid and be awarded projects based on their ability to perform - awarded on merit, not non-union or union affiliation
- Contracts should be awarded to the lowest, qualified, responsible bidder after a fair and open bidding process

The Construction Education Center, Inc. is a non-profit training center that serves the Connecticut construction industry by providing training and education for apprentices and field employees. Approved as a private occupational school by the Connecticut Commissioner of Higher Education, the CEC was founded by CT ABC to advance the construction industry of Connecticut by providing quality educational training for apprentices, journeypersons, and supervisors of construction companies. It is our goal to also enhance the quality, safety and competitiveness of Connecticut constructors within and outside the state.
Through the training center, individuals can now tap into a national network of certified craft instructors committed to improving the construction workforce.
