Welcome to the website of the Construction Education Center. The Center is a nonprofit training organization whose mission is to provide standardized training in order to prepare individuals for gainful employment and long term opportunities in the construction industry. Founded by the Associated Builders & Contractors of Connecticut with the goal to advance the construction industry of Connecticut by providing quality educational training for apprentices, journeypersons, and supervisors of construction companies. We endeavor to enhance the quality, safety and competitiveness of Connecticut constructors within and outside the state.
The Center is recognized by the following state institutions for construction training:
Connecticut Commissioner of Higher Education as an approved private occupational school.
Connecticut Department of Education Technical High School System, meeting all compliance requirements for the related instruction portion of the Connecticut Department of Labor Apprenticeship Training Program and the National Bureau of Apprenticeship Training.
The Construction Education Center is also an accredited provider of the Contren Learning Series curriculum developed by the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). The Contren Learning Series offers standardized curriculum for over 30 construction trades. For more than a decade, Contren has been a leader in construction training.
