Sexual Harassment Prevention Training - For Managers - Rescheduling

Wednesday, September 23, 2020
8:00 am10:00 am

Sexual harassment is a serious topic in the workplace. Sexual harassment can reduce employee productivity, cause an unsustainable working environment, and could lead to civil and financial liability. This training is designed to increase employees’ understanding of sexual harassment laws and how to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace. We will define and identify types of sexual harassment in the workplace, as well as behaviors that may be interpreted as sexual harassment. We will also discuss the key contents of a good sexual harassment policy, and how to investigate and respond to sexual harassment complaints.

Employers must now provide two hours of sexual harassment prevention training to all employees in Connecticut, not just supervisors. New employees hired after October 1, 2019, must be trained within six months of hire. All current employees must be trained by October 1, 2020.
