The following materials are required for the S4 Prep Course:

International Mechanical Code or International Mechanical Code Commentary, 2009, 2012, or 2015 Editions
NFPA 54: National Fuel Gas Code or National Fuel Gas Code Handbook, 2012
NFPA 31: Standard for the Installation of Oil-Burning Equipment. (2006 or 2011).
Modern Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, 19th or 20th Edition, Althouse, Turnquist, & Bracciano, GoodheartWillcox Publisher
Code of Federal Regulations - 29 CFR Part 1926 (OSHA), with latest available amendments, OR Code of Federal Regulations - 29 CFR Part 1926 Selections by PSI, with latest available amendments,
NFPA 58: Liquefied Petroleum Gas Code, 2014
NFPA 56: Standard for Fire and Explosion Prevention During Cleaning and Purging of Flammable Gas Piping Systems Current Edition

The following reference material is recommended for study, but is not allowed in the examination center. These materials are not required for the prep course:

Attendees arriving without full set of materials will be rescheduled for the next date.

Attendees may bring their own lunch.

Attendees must wear a protective face covering while in the building. We will be doing temperature checks with contactless infrared thermometers as you enter the building. If your temperature is over 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit, you won’t be able to attend class and will be rescheduled. Six feet distance must be maintained from all other people in the building.
