 Course Catalog: Continuing Education
The Construction Education Center is an official provider (#1275) of Continuing Education classes for plumbers and electricians in the state of Connecticut. We have received approval for the 2010 Electrical requirement and are awaiting approval for the 2010-2011 Plumbing requirement.
It is mandatory for licensed electricians and plumbers to attend continuing education classes.

The Construction Education Center is an official provider (#1275) of Continuing Education
classes for electricians in the state of Connecticut for 2010 requirement. It is mandatory for
licensed electricians to attend continuing education classes on a yearly basis for 7 CE hours for
license renewal.

Required Texts:
Per the state of Connecticut, all license holders attending the CEU class are
required to bring the 2005 NEC which will be used for the next 2 years. In
addition, license holders will have to purchase and bring one of the following
reference texts:
• Significant Changes to the NEC 2005 Edition as published by Delmar Learning
• Stallcup’s Illustrated Code Changes 2005 Edition as published by NFPA
• NEC 2005 Analysis of Changes as published by NFPA
The CEC uses Significant Changes to the NEC 2005 Edition in the courses. This
reference book can be purchased for the license holder through the CEC. |
| Plumbing Continuing Education |
The Construction Education Center is an official provider (#1275) of Continuing Education classes for plumbers in the state of Connecticut for the 2010 and 2011 requirement. It is mandatory for licensed plumbers to attend continuing education classes for a total of 5 or 7 CE hours for license renewal. Journeymen are required to complete 5 hours of continuing education every odd numbered year as a condition of license renewal. Contractors must complete 7 hours of continuing education every even numbered year as a condition of license renewal
