Online continuing education for plumbers and electricians: Extends until December 31, 2020 the deadline for electricians and plumbers to complete continuing education requirements and permits electricians and plumbers to renew their licenses within existing deadlines notwithstanding their failure to complete continuing education requirements prior to December 31, 2020.

Carpentry apprentices Zachary Dibble and James Looker have been selected to represent the Construction Education Center at the 2018 National Craft Championships to be held in Long Beach, California this coming March.

The Construction Education Center (CEC) and the Associated Builders and Contractors of Connecticut (CT ABC) are pleased to announce they have been awarded a $5,000 grant by the Trimmer Construction Education Foundation (TCEF). The grant will help fund a “Learning by Doing” initiative in the new Construction Education Center currently being built in Plainville, Connecticut.

CEC Breaks Ground in Plainville

On September 19, board members and staff of the Construction Education Center and the Connecticut Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors (CT ABC) broke ground on their new office space that is under construction in Plainville. The new facility will be home to four training rooms, two of which will be dedicated hands-on training space, a conference room and office space for both organizations.
